Simply Crêpes ♥ Historic Erie Canal, 7 Schoen Place, Pittsford, NY (585) 383-8310
Move over breakfast, lunch, and dinner (okay, and maybe dessert too), there’s a new sheriff in town. The late morning, early afternoon phenomenon that is “brunch,” has recently signed a lease in Rochester, and does not plan on moving out anytime soon. The local “thin pancake” experts at Simply Crêpes are embracing the movement with a menu of sweet and savory options that speak to breakfast and lunch palates alike.
A shout out to the best of both worlds, the Savory Cheddar Scallion Crêpes at Simply Crepes are leading the pack with a punch of undeniable flavor. Keeping with tradition, this delightful dish is made from scratch, anchored by two light, fluffy grilled crêpes that are handmade daily and perfectly pleated into large triangle pockets that spread the entirety of the serving platter. The fresh ingredients continue with a mountain of two fried eggs, New York State cheddar cheese, Applewood smoked bacon, crisp scallions, and finished ever so lightly with a drizzling of pure maple syrup and Sriracha sauce. A sweet, smoky layering of electrifying zest that sets off a firework of stimulation and leaves your taste buds begging for more.
In addition to the classic crêpe, dish visionary, Nicole Héroux, set out to accommodate guests special dietary needs by offering a crêpe that is lactose free and gluten free, using a buckwheat flour straight from our local farmers in Penn Yan, New York. This means all of their delicious crepes are available gluten free option as well. If you’re craving a hearty brunch that pushes the boundaries of sense and taste, the answer is simple!
