Swiftwater Brewing, 378 Mt. Hope Avenue, Rochester, NY

Opened on January 14, Swiftwater Brewing Company is a farm brewery/brewpub located in the heart of downtown Rochester’s South Wedge neighborhood.  Founded by Andy Cook, a longtime homebrewer and avid white-water kayaker, the South Wedge brewery will have a large brewing system and a full-service kitchen that will feature pizza and burgers. The meat will come directly from Cook’s family farm, Aurora Ridge in Aurora, Cayuga County.

Planned Three Heads Brewing, 186 Atlantic Avenue, Rochester

FSI Development of Rochester has purchased the empty lot at 186 Atlantic Avenue and is planning to build a brewery and tasting room on the southeast corner of the site to lease to Three Heads Brewing of Honeoye Falls.  The planned 19,500 square foot building will primarily be a brewin facility, but will also include retail sales, an indoor tasting room, and outdoor patio, expected to be open by July, 2015.
