Each Thursday night mid July through mid August, Rochester’s Party in the Park concert series presents a wide range of music including blues, funk, rock, reggae, and classic rock attracting devoted music fans and families to come out and enjoy the beautiful summer season. Now in its 28th year, the 2025 Party in the Park concert series is being held at the Martin Luther King Jr. Park and is hosted by the City of Rochester. Beyond the music, the festival atmosphere includes local food vendors, craft beer and wine, and a laid-back setting.

Their sound has been described as “blues-rock fueled by reckless abandonment and a disregard for the rules, with witty lyrics to back it all up”.

Andy Frasco & the U.N.’s performances have been described as a “boisterous blend of harmonic funk and jazzy influences, all topped with boundless energy”. Frasco frequently calls additional guest musicians to join his band on stage during sets, as well as fans. Frasco’s shows are also highly interactive, often stopping the show to speak directly to audience members, as well as invite people in the audience up on stage.

Shamarr Allen & The Underdawgs

Shamarr Allen is the definition of New Orleans! Hailing from the lower 9th ward of New Orleans, Allen has influences in jazz, hip-hop, rock, funk rhythms, blues and country. He is the lead vocalist and trumpeter of his band “Shamarr Allen & the Underdawgs.” In addition to performing with his band, Allen has collaborated with many renowned artists around the world such as Willie Nelson, Patti Labelle, Galatic, Harrick Connick Jr., and Lenny Kravitz, to name a few. He is a sought after artist for festivals and venues around the world. He is the true Orleans experience! But don’t take our word for it…do not miss this show. Seeing is believing!!
